Elektrotechnik Thoms GmbH can look back on a 25-year success story: since being founded by Managing Director Peter Thoms in 1997, our mission has been to support our customers with expertise, competence, and outstanding service in all areas of switchgear construction and system control.

Our core strength lies in the production of complete electrical switchgear for the machinery and plant engineering sector. We manage projects from planning and control to the manufacturing of complex switchgear, software, and visualizations. Always at the forefront: the individual requirements of our customers. Service is as important to us as delivering the highest quality in our products and solutions.

Customer at the Center

Every project begins with a personal consultation to understand the customer’s specific needs, ideas, and expectations. Based on this, we develop a solution precisely tailored to their situation.

Throughout the entire development process, we place great importance on personal contact and accessibility. Your project managers are always available to you. In addition, we offer an emergency service to support our customers with urgent matters when needed.

Through our partnership with BSB automation GmbH, we are able to provide even better support for our customers in the Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein region. By gaining new employees and long-term customers, we have expanded our portfolio to include production according to EU, UL, CSA, as well as GL standards for the shipbuilding sector.

With this new setup and the positive response from our existing customers, we are now able to realize even larger-scale projects both nationally and internationally.

Stronger Together Since 2024

Since January 2024, Elektrotechnik Thoms GmbH has held a 60% stake in bsb automation GmbH. Through this strategic partnership, we are able to serve our customers in the Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein region even more effectively. At the same time, thanks to new employees and the acquisition of established customers, we have been able to expand our portfolio – particularly in production according to EU, UL, and CSA standards, as well as in the shipbuilding sector under GL standards.

Thanks to this new constellation and the positive feedback from our customers, we are now in a position to successfully implement even larger projects both nationally and internationally.
